pick out the type of signals you want and then talk to the parts guy about making it fit. You have to go in when it's not busy and then you can get their attention. I found the a few parts guys that were very willing to help and then wanted me to bring the bike in to see the finished product. They had more fun trying to help me find parts to fit my bike rather than just ordering a part by number and that's it. I even came up with ideas that they hadn't thought of. You can drill the holes bigger if you need to and you can use bungee nuts or chrome nuts to cover the existing holes that you're not going to use if you don't want to do body work.
